Privacy Policy

Effective 2 October 2026 · Version 1.0

Kanyoou is a visual Chinese character-decoding game developed by RTECHO LAB PTY LTD (ABN 14 666 363 382), Australia. This policy explains how the current public release handles information.

1. Privacy by design

The current Kanyoou release does not require an account, login, name, email address or profile. Game progress is designed to stay on the device you use.

2. Information stored on your device

Kanyoou uses browser storage such as localStorage to remember gameplay information, including discovered characters, scanned characters, language choice, sound preference, active world, onboarding state and similar progress settings.

This information is stored in your browser on your device. Kanyoou does not currently transmit that gameplay progress to a Kanyoou account or central player database.

3. Cookies and analytics

This release does not intentionally set advertising cookies, behavioural advertising identifiers or third-party analytics cookies. If analytics, accounts, cloud sync or other data-collecting features are introduced later, this policy will be updated before those features are relied upon.

4. Hosting and technical logs

Like most websites, the hosting and network provider may process limited technical information needed to deliver and secure the service, such as IP address, request time, browser information, requested files and security events. Those logs are controlled by the relevant hosting provider and may be retained according to its operational and security practices.

5. Audio and media

Kanyoou plays bundled pronunciation audio and optional theme music. The current release does not use the microphone and does not record your voice.

6. External links

Kanyoou contains links to RTECHO LAB, Malak Foundation and the RTECHO LAB contact page. Once you follow an external link, the privacy practices of that external website apply.

7. Children

Kanyoou does not knowingly request personal information from children in the current release. If a child is using Kanyoou, a parent or guardian should supervise use where required by local law.

8. Clearing your Kanyoou data

You can remove locally stored Kanyoou progress by clearing site data for kanyoou.com in your browser settings. Removing browser storage may reset discoveries, settings and progress on that device.

9. International users

Kanyoou can be used internationally. The current release is intentionally designed to minimise collection of personal information. Applicable privacy rights may vary by location.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Kanyoou changes. The effective date and version number at the top of this page will identify the current policy.

11. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, use the RTECHO LAB contact page.
